Looking for information on Joseph Martin Blye, 1844-1871 and who is buried at the Fairlawn Cemetery in Kentland, Newton Co., IN. He married Sarah A. Peacock, daughter of John Peacock on 16 Aug 1868 in Newton County, Indiana. She appears in the 1880 Newton Co. census living with her father along with her daughter, Harriett. I am compiling an index of all civil war veterans buried in Newton County and Joseph Martin Blye has the badge of the G.A.R. on his tombstone. I'm trying to determine his military service.
