5. Rachel Hicks born 1822 in North Carolina. She married Jacob Beaman, son of Abraham Beaman and Elizabeth Dage. Jacob was born 1819 in Montgomery County, North Carolina and died bet. 1852-1860 in Warren County, Iowa.

The Federal Census of 1830 enumerated the following famalies in Owen County, Indiana:
Jacob Beamon, Isaac Beamorn, Briant Beman, Samuel Boommin, Zachariah Beamon, Jacob Hicks, Rhubrin Jordan, John Halton, Henry Halton, Noah Randles.

Jacob and his family settled in Morgan Township (Blanchard 787). His son Zachariah (Haltom 9) married Catharine Randol in March 1830 in Owen County, Indiana.
Jacob's daughter Rachel born 1818 or earlier, married Elias Hicks in 1831. Jacob, Winnie and Rachel were enumerated in the 1850 census with son Jacob L. who married Linna Lucas in May 1840. Jacob Beaman married Rachel Hicks and lived in Pleasant Grove Township, Marion County, Iowa by 1854. Jacob remarried to Mary and lived in Long Creek, Township, Decatur Count, Iowa by 1860, leaving his children scattered through Pleasant Grove, Franklin and Union Township.
Jacob was bondsman for the marriage of James Godwin .
Jacob 70 born NC and Winney 65 born NC are shown in the household of Jacob Beaman 27 born nc and Linny 27 born NC and children: Mary E. 8 born Indiana, Sarah E. 7 born Indiana, Winny J. 5 born Indiana, Martha A. 2 born Indiana. In the 1850 census Owen County, Indiana, Morgan Township, made October 16 1850.
