My daughter is a direct line descendant of John BELL (b. Sept 1782 Carteret Co., NC d. Jan 28, 1863 Posey Co., IN) who 1st married Jane/Jenny QUINN (m. bond Dec 29, 1803 Carteret Co., NC) with children: Joseph (b. 1807 NC), Sarah, Asa W., Mary/Margaret Ann, and Mary Jane (b. 1815 NC). And 2nd married Sally/Sarah Ann QUINN (b. Aug 26, 1792 Carteret Co., NC d. Oct 11, 1860 Posey Co., IN) on Jan 14, 1820 in Williamson Co., TN with children: Abner W. (b. 1820 TN), William MC/Mac, Lot H., John R/B., Enoch David, David Albert, James W., George F. (b. 1820 TN) and Louisa T. (b. abt 1837 IN).
I believe that Jenny and Sarah QUINN were sisters of Enoch and Loflin QUINN (b. 1794) and these four were children of Abner QUINN (b. abt 1754) and his wife Sarah. It appears that Loflin and Mary (GOULD) QUINN appear to have emigrated to TN about the same time (since their son Michael was b. 1817 in TN) as John BELL and family (based on birth information of children and tax and land records in NC and TN). I am looking for any information that would help prove these relationships.
Also, I am very familiar with BELL family information in 1-the P.W. Fishers book One Dozen Pre-Revolutionary War Families of Eastern NC and Some of their Descendants and 2-the Robert G. Lewis, PhD, book The Bells of Harlowe Creek. My problem which is the same in these two books is proving the parents of John Bell (b. Sept 1782). A possibility is John Bell (d. 1792 Carteret Co., NC), son of Nuell/Newell Bell (d. bet. Oct 11, 1779-June 1782; son of James Bell and Mary/Magdalene Billet) and wife Mary.
Any help in solving these problems would be greatly appreciated. I would be happy to share what information I have put together so far from a variety of sources. Thanks.
