Marriage records for Putnam Co., IN:

Roberts Andrew J Rebeca Wilson Jan 8 1871 5 3

So, Andrew Jackson Roberts was born ca.1835, married Amanda Hanks in 1858 in Putnam Co. By 1860 they lived in Parke Co. They had 3 kids:
- Eliza Lou Roberts (called Sarah in the 1860 census) - Born in 1859, married Joseph William Ruark Jr. and lived in Putnam Co.
- Willie Roberts - Born in 1863, died in infancy
- Steven A. Roberts - Born in 1866

Amanda died in 1869, and is buried in the Brick Chapel Cemetery in Putnam Co. By 1870 the 2 surviving kids were living with their maternal grandparents (i.e. Amanda's parents)

Andrew Jackson Roberts married Rebecca Wilson in Putnam Co. in 1871, and she died later that same year. No known children. Rebecca is also buried at Brick Chapel, next to Amanda and Willie.

I'm unable to find any trace of Andrew Jackson Roberts (who could go by his first or middle name, or AJ, or Jack) other than the items mentioned already. Anyone have access to land records that might show him, since we know he lived in Parke Co. in 1860? Anyone have access to the census index of 1870? I've not been able to find him there, but maybe you would have better luck.

I'd be grateful for any help!
