Kerry; I apologize, but I did have information on David C. Brown in the 1850 Shelby Co., Addison Twp. census: John W. Brown, 25, farmer born Indiana; Henrietta 24, born Kentucky; David C. Brown, 4, born Indiana; Gideon S. (or L.) 1, born Indiana. Elisha Cookson was not in the household, at least not in the census. But, I still can't make any Brown/Cookson family connection.
