I can help you a little. John Iredell Fields, who married Emma Newton, was the first born child of George "Wash" Fields and his wife, Ameda Brooks. They married in Martin County, Indiana, and in a year or so they moved to Shelbyville. E-mail me as I would love to share information. John I. and my grandfather were first cousins.
