Several memebers of my family and I are trying to research a farm my Great Grandfather Gustav Busse visited with his wife and children around 1916. The farm pictures I have are attributed to "North Judson, Indiana-Farm". My research led me to this: http://archive.org/stream/standardhistoryo01mcco/standardhis... (starting on page 458). It lists Herman's parents among other things. This leads me to believe they may be directly related (Uncle-Nephew or Near Cousin), and that my Great Grandfather may have begun his story in the US by working on his relative's farm before moving around the bend (Lake Michigan) to Chicago where he became a shop keeper and married my Great Grandmother, Ada Cora (Linder) Busse. My Great Grandfather was born in Mecklenburg, Germany. If someone possibly has more information, I would greatly appreciate anything you might have to offer.
