I have a naturalization record for HPC. I never heard you could get a record of a passport application. That's a thought. I'll look into that. You're right about Astrid Kruse. I have put her name into ancestry.com and familysearch.org about 100 time and always come up with the 1920 census and nothing else. I'm beginning to wonder if she really isn't Esther Kruse who was born the same year. My mother's name was Esther, Astrid and Esther were friends, and Esther KRuse and Astrid KRuse look very much alike. As I said once before on the 1920 census Astrid Kruse was living in Chicago and on the next day Esther Kruse was living in Indiana. Maybe Esther Kruse's parents included her on their census because she was their daughter even though her possible daughter could have been living in Chicago at the time. There is no "Astrid" Kruse born in 1902-1903 on any of the data bases anywhere except for the 1920 US census.
