I found in the 1910 census for Warren County Warren Township, Indiana a Charles and Anna Hartz. Along with this I find a Thomas (former Smith) stating he was adopted, Thomas was 16 years old and at home working on the farm. Is there anyone out there who would check on the adoption. I am the neice of Thomas and working on Genealogy. . I can't find anything on his death. His wife was Opal Brown. I an trying to find when he died and where. Thomas had lung problems; I was told. Thomas and Opal lived in Marion Coounty in 1920 and was 25 at that time and living with her father Harry Brown and daughter Effie.
