I have tried for so many years to find out where my husband's THOMASON relatives originated. As you can imagine there are many spelling variations. I have not been able to get further back than Allen E. THOMASON in the 1850 Washington Co, IN census. That census reports his birth in IN and in the 1860 census born in East TN. Allen died in 1867 census in Clay County, IL.
