I am looking for the death info for John Swearingen born Apr. 1878 in Kansas (all the rest of his family born in Indiana) and died 11 Jun 1898 in South Bend. Trying to find cause of death and cemetery were he is buried. My great aunt says he was killed by being hit in the head with a shovel because he tried to leave the pest house on the reservation?
