I saw your EMBREE posting on April 16, 1998 for unknown co.

I am looking for EMBREE information also, but James and
George Elmore EMBREE are unknown to me at this time.

I've hit a brick wall with my g grandfather Thomas A.
EMBREE, b. 1855, unknown Co, IA. He married Margaret
SWEEM, b. 1852, Marion Co., IA. When? They had six
children, Charles b. 1874, IA. and the other five born
in KS. as follows: Leona, b. 1878; Edward, b.1879;
John, b 1882; Claude, b. ? and Fred, b. ?

Thomas and Margaret lived in Cherokee Co, Baxter Springs,KS.
when they died (Margaret 1922 and Thomas 1934) They are
buried at the Lowell Cem in Lowell, KS. I don't know for
sure, but I think they lived in Baxter Springs for a long
time.
