My father-in-law was taken to an orphange (or home) in Indiana, along with his brother Larry (or Lawrence), in 1947. We don't know where in Indiana or what type of home. Any information on orphanges during that time period or resources for finding records would be appreciated. We don't know his parent's names; we know his name, originally, was either Maynard Earl Ellison or Earl Maynard Ellison. He changed his name later in life to Michael. His brother Larry was adopted. Mike spent his childhood in either foster care or an orphanage. Any help is appreciated. Thank you in advance!
