Looking for descendants of Dr. Thomas Henry BARNES. He was born in 1832 in Coshocton Co., OH and died 2 June 1889 in Brown Co., NE. He lived in Volney Allamakee Co. IA in 1854-56 and moved to Waukon, Allamakee Co. about 1858 and lived there until June of 1887. He was the son of Thomas Barnes (d. 1832) and Sophia Crawford. He married (1) Julia Angie ORR b. 1836 in OH and died 1859 in Waukon and is buried in the Waukon Cemetery with her two sons: Charles and Frank. One daughter survived: Ida BARNES who married Louis A. CULBERTSON 11 Oct 1883 in Waukon. They lived in Chariton and Ottumwa, IA and then moved to Provo, UT. He married (2) Marion E.FERRIS in Waukon 29 May 1862. She was born 23 May 1834 in Courtland Co., NY and died 31 Oct 1886 in Waukon. They had three children: Callie BARNES, William BARNES and Florence Malvina BARNES. Callie married Otto MICKELSON on 15 April 1887 in Waukon. They had 10 children: Blanche, Howard, Leigh, Forence, Mildred, Gladys, Helen, Beulah, Edyth and William. William Henry BARNES married Mary Colbornson on 25 Jan 1897 in Waukon. He was born 2 March 1869 in Waukon and died in December 1953 probably in Wisconsin. They had two girls: Ethel BARNES who married a HAZELTON and Grace. Florence M. BARNES married Frederick Peter SPINNER on 25 October 1893 at Cherry Mound, Allamakee, IA. They had 8 children: Hazel, Leslie, Meriam, Mildred, Clarence, Fred, Joseph and Mark.
