EINAR POULSEN FUNERAL RITES HELD SATURDAY
Einar Ingward POULSEN's funeral services were July 29th (1938) at the Augustana Lutheran church with the Rev. Vance BERG in charge. Drexel PETERSON, accompanied by Miss Catherine ANDERSON, sang two solos. Interment was made in Linwood Park cemetery, east; the casketbearers being John MUNSON, Arnold MUNSON, J. STANDLEY, John MEEHAN, Frank LYCKE & Robert ROBERTSON.
Floral tributes were in charge of Mrs. Charles MILLER, Miss Margaret MILLER, Mrs. Gordon DUBOIS and Mrs. Bertha VON KROG.
Einar Ingward POULSEN, son of Andrew & Catherine (WIRTZ) POULSEN was born in Viborg, Denmark, Dec. 21, 1896. He attended the public school in that town and was confirmed in the Lutheran Church at the age of 14.
At the age of 17, he came to the United States, coming to Boone, Iowa, where he made his home with his uncle and aunt, Mr. & Mrs. Anton POULSEN. In 1918, he entered service in Company D at Camp Dodge, and was honorably discharged Nov. 30, 1918. He returned to Boone, and had made his home in the home of Mr. & Mrs. Poulsen since that time.
July 19,(1938) the deceased was fatally injured and passed away July 26 at the age of 42 yrs 6 mos, 5 days. He is survived by his uncle and aunt in this city, 4 brothers and 2 sisters in Denmark. The cousins are, Lawrence POULSEN, Mrs. Martha NYSTROM & Mrs. Abe BOYD of this city.
