Merle J. Elliott, 87, died Monday, March 27, 2000, in Strawberry Point Lutheran Home following a short illness. Services: 11 a.m. Thursday, Grace United Methodist Church, by the Rev. Alecia Williams. Burial: Campton Cemetery, east of Lamont. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today at Fawcett Funeral Home, Lamont.
Survivors include his wife, Myrtle; two sons, Russell (Audrey) of Tama and Stephen (Nancy) of Independence; a daughter, Jane (John Richmond) of Strawberry Point; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
