Jim, you still out there? I know you posted this forever ago (back in '98) but I just now came across it. I'm highly intrigued by the information you mentioned for Thomas. My 4g's grandmother was Bridget Fitzpatrick (b.btw 1810/15 in IRL), a sister to your Thomas. She married Matthew Galligan, settled in New Diggings/Shullsburg area and had only 3 daughters that I know of - the eldest, Susan M, is where I descend from. I've been unable to locate any US imm. info for her or her husband Matthew, or specific b-place and b-date, but you seem to have some good info on Thomas's arrival to the states.
