Did Michael Leichtman have a farm of 1150 acres?
I thought I read, years ago, a write-up about Michael Leichtman, in the 1919 History of Chickasaw and Howard Counties, and even photocopied it. If I remember right, it said he had a farm of 1150 acres, in Jacksonville Township.
I live in Cedar Falls. Today, I phoned Jerry Peterson, at the UNI Library, and asked him to look that up, and he couldn't find it, in that book! I wonder where else I could possibly have found that information.
Does anyone know?
