I am searching for the family of Katherine Pitz or Pitts.
*Katherine Pitts or Pitz, born 25 May 1828 Prussia/Germany
Died 16 Jan 1917 New Hampton,Iowa and buried New Hampton
Married John Konzen 10 Dec 1855 Dubuque, Iowa
*John Konzen born abt 1825 Prussia/Germany
Died 1885 New Hampton, Iowa and buried New Hampton
*They had nine children: Margaret, Theresa, Clara,Mary, Ellen,Frank,Emma Anna,John C.,Peter H.
*Margaret married William Henry Ferrie - my great grandparents
Katherine came to the US when a young girl settling in New York and then in few years came to Dubuque,Iowa and that is where she met John. They lived there for two years and they to Lawler in the early 1860's and then later moved to a farm in Jacksonville township. She had a half brother John Pitz who also lived in the New Hampton area and was still alive in 1917.
