Sarah Vail, Samuel McCammant in Chickasaw Co., IA

Surnames: Vail, McCammant
Nov. 23, 1872 Sarah C. Vail married Samuel McCammant in Chickasaw Co., IA. In the 1885 IA State Census I find Sarah with 3 children: Mary McCammant (age 10), unreadable female McCammant (7) and Bertha McCammant (3). Sarah is 39 and it looks like it says she is divorced. I cannot find her in the 1880 Federal Census or anywhere else. Does anyone know these people? Thanks!
