Sorry it took me so long to find your message. I have been working on my Hudson and Keezer line and just got back to searching for new info on the Potters. You said you are researching Lewis Potter and Samantha Elizabeth Sherwood's son William. His sister Lucy was my Great Grandmother. I have some information on Lewis and Samantha. I have a copy of their divorce papers, and a copy of Lewis' will and the fight his son Albert had over the probate and Fanny Axford who was a neighbor who Lewis fond of. I believe he was a scamp, not a very nice guy. Let me know what you have found. I have the 1880 census but Lewis died in 1888.
