hello, I am the great granddaughter of Grace Belle Francis, Of Bloomfield Ia, Davis County. She is the daughter of Ira Calvin Francis and Irene Cathrine Stookesberry. Upon my grandfathers death in the 1997 I was given family information that my great grandmother had had in her safe. The information contained a Book titled The Branch line of the Stookesberry's. It goes back to William Stokesberry comeing to america from England at about 1720 and continues through part of the tenth generation of the family line. There is also some family information regarding the Gooden side of the family and the Francis side of the family. I have only just begun to work on my family tree so I am still going through and organizing the information. Mother Irene(rena) Catherine Stookesberry Born 9 January 1869 Grove Township Davis County Ia. D: 31 July 1949 M: 20 november 1887 Irene's Parents Were David Stookesberry and Mary Ellen Gooden and Davids Parents were John Jefferson Stookesberry and Catherine Elliot Morton.
