William H. and Mary Ann Smith
William H. Smith was a nephew of my great-great-great-grandfather, Welcome Hill. (Welcome had a sister, Mary Hill, who married a John M. Smith. William H. Smith was their oldest son, born in Great Valley, Catteraugus County, New York, in about 1825. In about 1838-1839, the John M. Smith family moved to Spencer, Medina, Ohio, where William married Mary Ann. (Her maiden name may have been Smith also.) They were living in Ohio for the births of their first (at least) six children: Elmore (~1849), Sanford (~1850), Clarinda(~1852), Julia (~1854) and Marshal (~1859). By 1860, they had moved to Delaware County, Iowa, where they had one more child, Byron, in 1858. Byron Smith may be the same man who married an Ada Louise Fishel. I am seeking information about this family and would like to be in contact with descendants. Thank you!
