I found a free directory of the city of Oelwein, 1906-1907 and a directory of Fayette County, too.

It's a bit unusual because it is at the end of a long book on the history of Iowa/Fayette County.

The Oelwein directory begins after page 323 (then the page numbers start over)

There's all sorts of info: government officials, union officials, church info, street layouts, individuals listed by street, individuals listed alphabetically...

Wives names are included, as are husbands of widows.

Abbreviations are on page 28 (or 343 in the whole digital book.)

The last page of the directory has "Too late for classification" with some additional names.

The Fayette County directory begins here: (It just lists names, occupations)

(There may be other info mixed in; I haven't gone through every page!)
