Funeral services for Georgia Brause were held at 10:30 a.m. today (Tuesday) at the United Methodist Church in West Union, Fayette Co, IA. Pastor Kay Roth officiated. Burial was in the West Union Cemetery.

Mrs. Brause, 102, died early Saturday morning, Aug. 31, 1996, at the Good Samaritan Home in West Union.

She was born Aug 4, 1894, in West Union, the daughter of Joseph and Anna Musser Eastman. A lifelong West Union resident, Mrs. Brause was a homemaker and member of the United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Vivian "Pede" Jensen; three grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one brother Samuel Eastman of Modesto, Calif.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Floyd Tupper; her second husband, Lawrence Brause; one grandson; and five brothers and sisters.

The Burnham-Wood Funeral Home, West Union, was in charge of arrangements.
