When my great grandparents came to the USA from Germany in 1881 they settled in Lost Creek, Iowa. The town no longer exists. Can someone tell me where to write for a history of this place? My great grandfathers name was Hermann Ignatius Koerkemeier and was a coal miner in Lost Creek. He died in a mining accident there.
