I checked at the library to day and found the following:
Indianapolis Cemetery, Monroe Twp., Mahaska Co.
Joseph N. Mc Mahan
1820-1881
Civil War Vetreran
I looked twice, but did not see his wife listed there.
I also had a chance to check the courthouse, but found no death records for either of them.
Hope this helps. I have no connection to this family, just live in Mahaska Co. and had a minute to spare.
