from bio in Cushing IA Centennial History Book 1883-1983:
In 1956 Wayne and Bessie came to Cushing where he was supt. of Cushing Consol. School. Bessie died Mar. 7, 1975 and Wayne died May 19, 1981. Both are buried in the Cushing Cem.
This bio mentions 2 children. Kay Elaine b. Sept. 8, 1940 in Oskaloosa IA and who married Gary Zediker of Mapleton on Sept. 3, 1961. At the time of this bio They lived in Spokane, WA, with 3 children Michele Gayle b. 1969, Brian Emmett, b. 1973, and Michael Gene b. 1975.(note: I believe Kay was born to Bessie's first marriage to Howard Gregory)
The second child is William David Beery b. May 21 1946 in Sioux City, IA. At that time he lived in Honolulu Hawaii, wife Lita, 4 sons, Scott David b. 1969, Matt David b. 1973, Derek Thomas b. 1970, Darryl Christopher b. 1972.
