Rose M. "Rosie" Kobold, 79 of Sioux City, passed away Friday, July 25, 2008 at a local hospital.

Graveside services will be 12:30 p.m. Monday at Onawa Cemetery, Onawa, Iowa. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Waterbury Funeral Service, Sergeant Bluff and again on Monday, with the family present from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Rose M. "Rosie" Kobold, 79, of Sioux City passed away Friday, July 25, 2008, at a local hospital.

Graveside services will be 12:30 p.m. Monday in Onawa Cemetery at Onawa, Iowa, with Kendall Bettridge officiating. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, at Waterbury Funeral Service in Sergeant Bluff. Visitation will resume 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Monday, with the family present, at the funeral home.

Rosie was born Aug. 22, 1928 in Chicago, Ill., the daughter of James and Anna (Hughes) DiNicola. During 1931, the family moved to Western Iowa. Rosie graduated from Iowa Western Tech and worked at River Heights group home, and later as the administrator at the Court Street group home.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Throughout her life, Rosie's greatest joy was having all the family being together.

Rosie is survived by her husband, Harold; two sons, Ronald Huff of Sioux City, and Gary Huff of East St. Louis, Ill.; three daughters, Joanne and her husband, Leo Camerer of Sioux City, Diane and her husband, Kendall Bettridge of Baltimore, Md., and Nancy and her husband, Mark McDougall of Glenwood, Iowa; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Stanley Hill and Al Hogancamp, both of Sioux City.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, June Mord; and a great-granddaughter, Cheyenne Camerer.
