Louella Sophie Bray was born at Cylinder, Iowa (note this would be Palo Alto county), on 9 June, 1890, and grew to womanhood there. On 9 May, 1909 she was united in marriage to Clarence Bray at Dows, Iowa and to this union one daughter, Genevive,was born.

The family left Dows in 1915 and came to Washburn county and have resided in the township of Crystal for the past 46 years.

Mrs. Bray had been in failing health for several years and passed away at Shell Lake Hospital on Thursday, 31, Dec, 1964 at the age of 74 years.

Her husband Clarence preceded her in death on 27 June, 1964. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Elmer Anderson, (Genevive), Spooner, one grandson, Robert Anderson, one great grandson, two sisters, Mrs. Grant Bray, Spooner, Mrs. Clarence Myre, Forest City, Iowa, four brothers, Arthur Hagenson, Percy Hagenson, and Elmer Hagenson, all of Thompson, Iowa and Orlo Hagenson, Lake Mills, Iowa and many other relatives.

Funeral services were held on Monday, 4 January at 2p.m. at Dahl Funeral Home, Rev. Roy S. Brown, Trego officiated, burial in Earl Cemetery. Casket bearers were Sam Gilbert, Ray Shoquist, Nalmar Nelson, Carl Johnson and Arthur Buttenhoff
