Researching the ancestry of John A Berg (nov. 18, 1864--sept 26, 1926) who emmigrated from Trondheim Norway in 1883 on the Dampsk Tasso. He married Christina Haatvedt (1894) in callender and lived the rest of his days in Ruthven, Iowa. His children were: Arthur, Cyril, Harold, Robert Olga, Kathleen, Lucille, and John H. Berg. John A. Berg's business partner was Thomas Brennan (Berg and Brennan's of Ruthven). His siblings were Sivert, Andrew, and Ellen (all of whom remained in norway); and Anton Berg and Carrie Anderson (both of Chicago).
