I am descended from Dalton H. McKee through his son George Hubbard McKee and George's wife Mary Tryphena Eaton.
Their daughter, Wanda McKee b. 12/8/1920, was my grandmother.

Dalton H. McKee was born July 1849 in New York and Susan Ellen Gilliam was born 5/14/1847 in Dubuque, Iowa.

Dalton's father was Hubbard McKee born about 1817 in New York. His mother was Mary (possibly Whitney) born about 1818 in N.Y. She died before 1860 as Hubbard McKee is found after 1860 with a wife named Elizabeth who is many years younger. You can find Hubbard McKee in the 1850 living in Adams, Jefferson County, New York and in the 1840 census living in Houndsfield, Jefferson, New York.
In the 1880 census he is living with his new wife in Sandy Creek, Oswego Co. N.Y.
I haven't been able to track down Hubbard McKee's parents.

Dalton H. McKee was living with my grandmother's father, George McKee and her mother Mary Tryphena Eaton in Merced, Ca. Mary Tryphena Eaton lived with my grandmother, Wanda McKee, until she died 9/12/1965.
