Yes the video is about the Brink family. My father is supposed to be bringing it to me next weekend. I think I remember something about IL in some of the research my cousin did. I'll have to look at it and I'll let you know. It might have been a stop on the way from PA to Kit Carson CO for my great-great grandfather Elliot. Like I said I'll let you know once I figure it out.

There are no more books available. Laurel kept the last copies for her grandchildren. It is available online though. I hadn't heard of a Brink video. Is that of your family? My grandfather was born in Benton, Columbia Co., PA. and eventually settled in Lee Co., IL. in 1885. He had an uncle Isaiah who had already been there for about 30 years.
I wish I could remember why I was looking for your Brink's.

Elsie

Oh my goodness, that was so long ago that I don't remember why I was looking for the Brink's mentioned in the post. Possibly someone wrote to me asking if they were in Laurel Powell's "A Brink Book" which I have. The book is about the Brink family that came from Holland in 1661 and settled in New Netherlands. They were Dutch of course. Does it sound familiar?
Elsie
Viola Hatfield did marry Ellis Spencer and had a son Charles Burton Spencer, you see, they married in 1876, this Charles was born in 1877, the couple split, Viola went home to Mother & Father, she did not remarry until early 1900 to Wm Cory, their deaths are recorded. The marriage of her son is recorded in Tama County, he was twice married, he ends up in Minnesota, see draft records of 1918. The children of his two marriages give Viola grand children. Ellis married a Dora Knox, lives in Detroit and is very properous. This Spencer line goes way back into British History. There is a different line of Spencers in Jefferson & Lewis Counties, New York State, they may be related but try to make the connection, many trees carry bad information, why do they not prove their data with authentic records? Regards Felix.

Reply No. 2: Correction: Honorah O'Connor was sister of Johanna O'Connor Mulligan, (my great grandmother) She was known as Nora and was married to (John, I think) Foley. Catherine Mary was one of their many childen.
I have certain pieces of info, pictures, obits, etc. on the family at home. Would be happy indeed to share our info. Yes, I have seen the McLean name but never knew who it was referring to. Don't the Enrights come from this family line? Mom died when I was very young and I didn't have anyone to ask. FYI Nora had 10 siblings; 3 of the girls were Nuns. Sister Clare started a Hospital. I have a 1904 statue of the BVM Sister Hortulana gave my grandmother, Sarah Agnes (Sadie) Mulligan. Johanna & Frank had about 10 children. I could go on and on..... I do hope you will want to get in touch, as I am very interested in contacting you,... Are you living in Iowa? Spartanburg, SC here... Email here is jbeckholt@yahoo.com ..... Regards to all, Jane Beckholt

Yes, I'm still interested. Let's get in touch. I've been away from the Library Computers for about a year, but want to get into the Ancestry.com again..... I know of the Foley's. My great grandparents were Frank & Joanna Mulligans of Tama & Eagle Grove, IA. Granddaughter, Mary G. Mulligan-Perrin was my mom. If memory is right, Frank Mulligan's sister married a Foley. Looks like we are distant cousins of some sort.???? I have a good bit of information. So, please be patient with me until we get connected. Library Computers can only be used 1 hour a day, but I'll try to come regularly. Look forward to hearing from you. Returning to the United States in 1960, they accepted a call to serve as missionaries to the Meskwaki Settlement near Tama. They lived at the mission house at the edge of the settlement until 1975. Since that time they continued to live in Tama and Toledo.
My grandmother was Mary Weaver Novotny. I recall as a child hearing that we were related to the Hand and Stull families. I see in your post that John Hand m. Julia Weaver and one daughter Florence m. Clyde Stull. So that is the connection, somewhat tenuous but would appreciate any information on Julia Weaver, as that appears to be the connection. My brother, Joseph Novotny worked as a boy for either the Hand or Stull family and I recall the names and 7that there was some relation. Thanks for any help in trying to sort out the Weaver family.
