I am trying to establish if this Perl Jones is the Perl Jones who married a distant cousin of mine (Madoline/Madeline Rowlett b. Mar 1890 in Missouri) in KC MO on June 13, 1908. This record was found at the Mormon site (Familysearch.org). Madoline/Madeline Rowlett was the daughter of John M. Roulette & Helen M. Canterbury. She had a brother, Lester Frank Rowlett. I've found Perl G. Jones in the 1910 census for KC MO, but his wife is "Vera E." So, I am wondering (if it is the same Perl Jones), if perhaps he and Madoline/Madeline divorced or she died before he married Vera. I have come across another person's family tree with this Perl G. Jones (son of Richard "Dick" Clayton S. Jones & Mary Hix). There is no wife listed, but there is a son - Walter Jones. I do know that this Jones family was in Matfield Green, Chase Co., Kansas. Many of the Jones' are buried in the Matfield Green Cemetery. Perl G. Jones died in 1979 at 90 years of age!

Any help is appreciated - just wanting to rule out if this Perl Jones is the one who married Madoline/Madeline Rowlett.

I've learned new details abt William Jay Wilson b 1829 Ohio and family. I'm convinced that this William J. in Chase Co. is of my Wilson extended family. They were from Ohio, moved to Illinois 1833 to Missouri mid 1840's & on to Kansas. It appears William returned to Ohio, later to Chase co. In the 1900/1910 census Toledo, Chase Co. I find William and Maria.
The names of the family of 1st wife Anarah Evans are:
John, b 1861; Mary 1863; Charles Sumner 1867; Daniel 1869; Martha 1862; James O. 1874; Nathan 1862.
Charles Sumner is also the name of a son of Andrew Wilson (bro. of William)....I've not discovered the relevance of the Sumner middle name yet.
William's 2nd wife is Marie, the family names are Thomas b 1882; Margaret 1884, she m. Seward Yenzer.

I'm searching for info on William Wilson, I find Chase County KS family which seems to have the right timeframe. I believe he is son of William S. Wilson 1797 & Rebecca Pearce Wilson 1800 who were in 1850 Jasper Co. Mo. census.
They had come from Ohio in 1833 to Kendall Co. Illinois, abt 1845 they moved on to Jasper Co. MO. I've located some of the children from their marriage....Irving, Andrew, Matilda, John, Nancy, Elizabeth, Martha, Parry, Daniel, Marietta. Still searching for info on all of them. I'm from line of Daniel David Wilson b 1825 m. Sarah Combs 1845 in Jasper co. MO.

Well that is rather remarkable! While looking over the
Brandley trees this afternoon, I discovered a lead to
your great grandmother Ellen's line in WV. Prior to
that time, I did not know that she had married a Lewis..

This IS all a bit confusing as the names duplicate
off and on. Actually, there are two different Arnold
Brandleys (1843-1929) and (1873-1976). My wife's
folks are from the later one and yours from the earlier.

I was going to try to enclose a very rough Brandley
family tree in this message, but I see that
this Ancestry.com reply thingie does not
support the indentation I need.

Thanks for the quick response to my post. Faster than I expected. When I was reading my post I can see how new at this I am because I said Arnold Brandley was my grandfather.
Well he is not. He is my great great grandfather on my mothers side. I get confused but I hope that is right.
My mom was Betty J Booth, her mother Was Bonnie Brandley Lewis and her mother was Ellen Brandley, Arnold Brandley's dauther. I know he was married a few times so at this moment I am totally confused! I don't have much information but I would like to help you if I can. Are you aware of his entire family? Maybe you can help me clear up a few things. I am totally unskilled at this but I really enjoy

Enoch Powell died in 1875, leaving several children who seem to all be listed in this will. I need the pages of it.

George Topping was born on Aug. 6, 1858 in Belmont Co., OH. As of 1929, he lived in Cedar Point (Chase Co.), KS. On Sep. 24, 1929, he joined the Sons of the American Revolution, on behalf of the service of his Revolutionary War ancestor, James Tallman.

George Topping is reported to have died in 1943, presumably in Chase Co., KS.

Matthew Agnew death notice Chase Co., 16 Jul 1885

Found that a Chase County, KS, newspaper of 16 Jul 1885 lists the death of Mathew (Matthew) Agnew. I know that he was born about 1804 in PA, married Anna, b. about 1811 in OH, raised a family in Bureau County, IL, where first son James B. and wife Anna died. Mathew's daughter, Anna Eliza, b. about 1836 in IL, married Orange Hezekiah C. Smith, and that family moved to KS in about 1877. Mathew Agnew lives with the Orange H.C. Smith family in the 1880>KS>Marion>Branch census. I find William Agnew, Matthew's youngest child, living with Orange/Anna Smith's daughter, Lillian Winner (Mr. Benjamin), in the 1920>KS>Reno>Hutchinson census. Any more info on Matthew Agnew, William Agnew, or Orange H. C. Smith in this county?

Ora Martin Allen b. abt Dec 1883
Frances Maude Allen b. Feb 1890
Homer Martin Allen b. Dec 1891
Linus H Allen b. Aug 1895
2 or 3 unknown children Allen b & d betw 1883 and 1899, possibly in Chase county
Family moved to Reno County sometime between 1885 and early 1900.
Interested in obtaining birth & death documentation on the children, a copy of the marriage record, and any other data on extended family (parents & siblings, other relatives, of Edward & Charlotte). Thank you.

Elam Boles 22, b. MO and Price Boles 17, b. MO were living in Toledo Twp, Chase Co. KS 1880. Elam was boarding with Jospeh L. Strate from MO. Price was boarding with John B. Stanbrough b. IN, but his wife was b. MO. Does anyone have information on the family of Elam & Price Boles? Thanks for any help.

Mina Nulph - age 24 - b. Pa - Operator for railroad - parents b. in Penna
Andrew Nulph - age 14 - b.Pa.
Census indicates Andrew is her son but she would have been 10 years old when he was born.
