LANCASTER, Ohio: Sarah Christine Wagonseller Johnson, 33, passed away Monday September 5, 2011 at The Ohio State University Medical Center, Columbus. Ohio.
Sarah was born September 21, 1977.
She was diagnosed with leukemia 10 years ago and fought long and hard to survive and be the best mother she could for her daughter Emma. Sarah attended St. Bernadette's, St. Mary's, and Fisher Catholic.
She was a 1995 graduate of Lancaster High School.
Sarah attended Ohio University and Hocking College.
She had been employed by the Limited Brands at the time of her diagnosis 10 years ago.
Sarah is survived by her loving daughter Emma, her parents John and Cindy Wagonseller, her sister Allison (Joseph) Wagonseller-Milligan, her niece Cecilia, her maternal grandfather Robert Clark, her aunts and uncles; Paul and Criss Manning, David and Vikki Clark, Joe Clark, and Thomas Wagonseller, and many wonderful cousins, and all of her friends.
Sarah was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother Norma Clark, paternal grandparents James and Mary Wagonseller, and her cousin Aaron Manning.
Sarah was a delight as a daughter, granddaughter, mother, aunt, niece, cousin and friend. She spent these last 10 years being Emma's mother, caring for her, taking her to all of her sport activities, and volunteering at Emma's school. She was be sadly missed by all of us.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday September 9, 2011 at 10:30 AM at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, with Fr. Craig R. Eilerman as celebrant.
Burial will follow at St. Patrick Cemetery in Junction City, Ohio (Perry County).
Family will receive friends on Thursday, September 8, 2011 from 4-8 PM at the SHERIDAN FUNERAL HOME with a vigil service at 7:30PM.
