I'm looking for any information/memories/stories about the 'White House Farm' located on what is now Falcon Lakes Golf Course on Hwy 7/73. During its existence it was a cattle farm, tobacco farm, and the large 3 story house was once used as a gambling den - apparently it was very popular with users and law enforcement.
There was a large 3 story house (probably built around 1900), a tenant farmers' house, tobacco barn, dairy barn, equipment shed, brick silo. Wolf Creek ran through the property and there was a rail line at the back end. In the 1950's, two lakes were added.
Various owners have been Mose Harvey,Lentz Usher,Joseph H.& Francis Schwartz,Carl Rice (my grandfather) and many others.
