ORDESSA HARVEY

Ordessa L. Harvey, 88, of Independence, died Friday morning (Oct. 6, 2000) at the Manor Nursing Home, Independence.

Mrs. Harvey was born May 11, 1912, in the Coal Creek District, Montgomery County, to Frank and Myrtle (Ebert) Kimble. She was raised in Coal Creek, where she attended school.

She married Homer Lee Harvey on Aug. 12, 1930, at Sedan. She worked as a nurse's aid for 18 years at the Mercy Hospital before her retirement in 1976.

Survivors include three nieces, LaDonna Garment, Twila Kinnamon, and Carolyn McGuire, all of Independence.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Homer Harvey.

Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday at that Hope Cemetery, Independence.

The family has suggested a memorial to the Manor Nursing Home, 614 S. Eighth, Independence.

Memorials may be left with the funeral home.
