In transcribing obits from the Delphos papers I found the following on L. Knott. I cannot find a stone for him in
Hall Cemetery, nor a listing in the records of same (such as they exist). Do any of you know anything further?

Knott died Sept. 13, in the Naval Hospital at
Newport LII. after a brief illness. About four months ago, deceased enlisted in the naval service and was assigned to a naval training school. About ten days before his death, he was attacked by pneumonia, and later an abscess developed on the brain. The body was embalmed in a metallic casket and shipped to Minneapolis, and from there taken to the home of his sister, Mrs. John
Chambers northeast of Delphos. The funeral services were held Sunday from the home of Mr. and Mrs. Chambers, and were conducted by Rev. Cobb. Burial was in
Hall Cemetery. All the brothers and sisters were present, namely: Mrs. C.C. Clark, of
Columbus Junction,
Iowa, Mr. and Mrs. C.B. Larson, C.P. Knott, Miss Hazel
Knott, of
Council Bluffs,
Iowa. Deceased, was about eighteen years old and formerly lived in the
Lamar neighborhood.
