my grandmother was Irene Elizabeth Benedict b.18 jun 1914 in Delphos, Ottawa County Kansas. hoping you can help i have infomationon her family father Samuel Scott Benedict and mother Alice Amanda Kerby, now her brothers and sister name but do not know order of birth and you help. there names are Beatrice Iva Benedict, Henry Scott Benedict and Earl Kerby Benedict all born in Delphos, Ottawa County, Kansas. thanks for any help Christina

Naturalization records in Ottawa county show Benjamin Stauffer took out papers 4/8/18, from France.

There is an article about Wm H Gardinier. Their daughter Alice married Arthur Tooze.

There is an article about Andrew J Eutsler. Wife and 6 children came to Ottawa co from Clark Co ILL in 1866. Farm was 1 1/2 miles east and south of Tescott on the south side of the Saline River. Also lived in Ellsworth county on a farm. Had 4 more children. Grandfather died 1882. Later, sold the farm to T E Scott, grandson Ray, bought it back and lived there until he died in 1937. by Adeline Eustler Disney, grandaughter.

There is an article about a George M White in the book, p336. Evidently not the same man.

He came to Ottawa in 1873, homesteading in Richland Twp. wife, Celestia, had 5 children: Charlie,
Mamie (W W Walker and ch: Ray and Blaine), Hiram (Chub), Pearly, Stella (Geo. Midgley)

Celestia died when the youngest child was born. Geo. W returned to IA and married a widow friend of the family, Josephine Swaney, with a small son, Allie, who lived many years near Bennington. George and Josephine had Roy (Mildred Boster, one son, Donald E, and a dau. who died at 1 year.), Archie ((Edith McCready, ch: Jeanne Warhan and Phyllis Zilliox), Nettie (Ernest Miller, 2 sons, Vance and Bob) Roy and Archie lived their entie life in the Bennington area. Donald was the only desc. still living in 1984 and owned part of the original homestead.

Would you please look for any Reafsnyders--John would have been the most notable one.
