I am doing some research on family history and was wondering if anyone had any information on Ida M Ensign or her husband Sam Rivard. This is what I have so far:

Ida Ensign:
Born: 15 May 1856 in Michigan
Died: 11 Dec 1880 Pottawatomie Cty, KS

Her parents were William Ensign and Sarah Rogers.

She was in Riley County, KS in 1870 and 1875.

She married Sam Rivard (b 1850- died?).

They had at least 2 children:
-Clifford A Rivard (1877-1927)
-Myrtle Rivard (1880-1968)

I find Sam Rivard with his son Clifford in 1885 in Highland, Clay, KS.
I find Myrtle Rivard with her grand parents William and Sarah Ensign in 1885 in Pottawatomie, KS.

My questions are :
1. Any idea what Ida died from?
2. Any idea what happened to her husband Sam Rivard?
3. Any idea why Myrtle was living with her grandparents instead of her father?
4. Any information on Ida and Sam’s marriage?
5. Any idea where Ida, Sam and Clifford were in 1880? I can’t locate them in any census.
