I don't have much info to go on, but the family grapevine says that our great-grandfather came from Ireland and ended up in Colby. I believe his first name was Hugh, but am not sure. I have no info on what happened to him.
He would have had at least 2 children-Patrick, my grandfather, and Annie, both born in Ireland. Somehow Patrick and Annie ended up in Illinois, in the Rock Island County area. Patrick married Margaret Buckley in 1888. They had 2 children, Hugh and Anna, before both parents died in the 1890's. Anna married John Edward Coleman and had a son, Edward.
