I descend from David Searcie(1746-1831) and Cassandra. They had two sons I know of John and James. James A. married Elizabeth Minor and had 5 children of which the youngest was Emily who married John David Stableton.
James A. Searcie died in Anderson Co. in 1852.the last trip I was in Anderson Co. I went to the library and in the local history areaa is a file cabinet with family surnames. on the botom of the drawer was a large file which had slid under the other files and the large file was Seracy file. I haven't had a opportunity to return and check this file. I do believe the spelling Searcy and Searcie is a variation of teh same family.
