Robert Pogue DEBENEDICTIS, aged 79 years, died May 23, 2008, in Granville, OH where he resided. Mr. DeBenedictis was born to Thomas Antonio and Mary Catherine Jones DEBENEDICTIS, both of whom predeceased him, on November 23, 1929 in Wheeling, WV. He was also predeceased by his first wife, the former Mary Alice Phillips, of Ashland, KY. He was a graduate of Holy Family School, Ashland, KY, the University of Kentucky and Marshall University where he completed his Master's Degree. He was a member and office holder of Benjamin Franklin Chapter, Sons of the American Revolution. He co-founded and was active in the Licking County Players, Newark, OH. He retired from the Newark school system where he was a teacher and administrator. He is survived by his wife, Hildegard; their four children, Dr. Erik (Beverly) DEBENEDICTIS, Helene Alspach (David), Dr. Mach (Carin) DEBENEDICTIS and Lance (Sara) DeBenedictis; also by their nine grandchildren, Christine, Katie and Teri Alspach, Erika, Heidi, Elizabeth, Cara, Talia and Ariane DeBenedictis; two sisters, Roberta DEBENEDICTIS, Antoinette D. (Carr H.) Newman; a niece, Felicia A. (David, deceased) Andrecht; a nephew, Lindsey Pogue (Amy) Newman; and a great-niece, Stella McVay Newman.
