Melvin RUNYON, age 86, of COLUMBUS, OH, former resident of Hilliard, OH for several years, passed away June 24, 2008, at his residence after a long illness. Born November 29, 1921, in Ashland, KY. Member of St. John Lutheran Church, Dublin, since 1957, where he was also a prior Sunday School Teacher. Retired from Hall's Motor Transit after 30 years of service. Special interest in carving out walnuts. Retiree from COLUMBUS Teamsters Local #413. Preceded in death by his parents Eliza Jane (Daniels) and John RUNYON, brothers Sam, Johnny and Norman, step-son Brad Linley, sisters Mamie and Ruth. Survived by wife, Peggy M. (Linley) RUNYON of 22 years; step-sons, Douglas Linley, Roy (Rita) Linley; daughter-in-law, Bobbi Linley; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Myrtle; several nieces, nephews and friends. Friends may call at JERRY SPEARS FUNERAL HOME, 2693 W. Broad St., June 26, 2008 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. and then after 10 a.m. June 27, 2008 at St. John Lutheran Church, 6135 Rings Rd., where service will be held 11 a.m. Pastor John E. Greig officiating.
