Morris BERRY was born in 1781 in Murderkill dist Del

Parents were John BERRY and Nancy BEAUCHAMP.

Morris went to Washington co Ky in 1799. He married Margaret SIMMS in 1806. They had 13 children including Levi, John, Alfred, James, Stephen and Henry.

We have information on Nancy BEAUCHAMP'S family back to 1550 in England, but nothing on John BERRY,

Nancy's father was born in Somerset co MD.

In 1793 Nancy moved to Md/Bracken co Ky and married Ferdinand DORA (DORE). DORA was also born in Somerset co MD. At the time of the marriage Nancy was 30 years old: DORA was 35.

It is possible (only a guess) that John BERRY died and Nancy moved back to MD/KY and remarried.

Tax records indicate that Ferdinand and Nancy were in Bracken co Ky in 1799.

It is possible that Morris went to Bracken co Ky with his mother and stepfaher. The parents stopped in the more populated county on the Ohio river while Morris went on to Washington co Ky.

Supposedly Nancy had at least 3 other sons. We do not know whether they were children of John BERRY or F
DORA.
