BLACK, CARL G., 74, of Louisville, passed away Thursday, August 5, 2004. He was a native of Addison, KY, a retired major for the Louisville Fire Department and a Navy Sea Bee in the Korean War. He was a member of Moose Lodge #5, American Legion Highland Post #201 and the VFW Robert E. Newman Post. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Alonzo A. and Nannie "Nancy" Bryant Black, formerly of Breckinridge County, KY. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Felker Black; children, Patricia Leech and her husband, Ray, Danny "Rick" Caple and his wife, Charlotte, Lisa Hoyer and her husband, Rainer, and Kevin Newton; sisters, Barbara Gregory and her husband, Bill, and Martha Raye Trautner and her husband, Larry; an aunt, Belle Ashley of Grayson County, KY; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. His funeral will be held at noon Monday at O.D. White & Sons, with entombment in Evergreen Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Saturday and 1-8 p.m. Sunday.
