Zack H. Finney Age 35, married Letha (really Aletha) Hinton, age 15, of Warren Co. Nov.24, 18??. It is said they had 14 children and raised 10 of them, but records have not yet confirmed this. 2 said to have died from "croup." One named "Curley." Zack and Letha Finney were the parents of at least 10 or 12 children. They came from (?) to Silverside(?), Kentucky in the mid 1880’s. Zack was a farmer—corn, tobacco. He was old when Letha married him.

Leanie Finney was a well driller in Kentucky, then in Oklahoma, drilling water wells, and later oil. He then got injured—caught his right arm in the belt that drives one of the large oil pumping machines, and the fracture never healed, so he was disabled, and owned a grocery store in Lenepah, Okla.

My grandmother's name was Pauline Finney, born in Woodbury KY. Her mother's name was Pearl, and I believe that her surname was Tygrett. I have a photo of two of my grandmother's sisters standing near a gravestone which says, "Lizzie" wife of J.W.Tygrett, born Oct. 19, 1856. Death date is listed as 1878. On the photo, they wrote "our
grandmother" which leads me to believe that she was Pearl's mother. Pearl died giving birth to the youngest child. Pearl was married to Leanie Finney, my ggrandfather. Does anyone have any info on this line of Tygretts? I am stuck with the first name Pearl and no maiden name. By the way, family legend has it that we are also related to the Gotts. In this picture, Lizzie's stone stands near a large one marked "GOTT." Was Lizzie a Gott who married a Tygrett, who gave birth to Pearl Tygrett, who then married a Finney?????
