Wm Caldwell BLAIN was born in Abbieville co SC in 1794. In 1812, he enlisted in the army in Kentucky. He purchased land in Butler co, Ky in 1819. In 1822 he was constable of Butler co. In 1824, he purchased land in Grayson county, where he spent the rest of his life, dying there in 1874.

A James Blain, (thought to be the father of Wm Caldwell) also enlisted in the army in Ky in 1812.

Siblings of Wm Caldwell Blain are said to be: Harvey, John, Anderson, D W (David or Daniel) and Michael (and maybe more)

Since Wm C was known to be in Butler co, I am wondering if his parents or some of his brothers might have been there too.

I am interested in the lines of all the brothers, but especially am looking for JOHN BLAIN, born abt 1797, whose wife was CATHERINE (surname possibly Lane).
