Lois Roseland Blackburn, 79, of Dawson Springs, died Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012, at Baptist Health in Madisonville.
Born April 2, 1933, in Caldwell County, a daughter of the late Charlie and Lois Kingery Hooper, she had worked in the Dawson Springs School Cafeteria and was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J.L. Hester; her twin brother, James R. Hooper; and three brothers, Fred Hooper, Dennis Hooper and Ed Hooper.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary Hayden of Dawson Springs and Judy Krantz of Madisonville; a son, Danny Jo Hester of West Virginia; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, Dec. 9, at 2 p.m. at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs with the Rev. Darrell Gates officiating.
Burial will follow in Rosedale Cemetery in Dawson Springs.
Pallbearers will be Raymond Hayden, Chris Laureano, Shane Kenady, Travis Lussier, Jason Laureano and Bill Dunbar.
Visitation for Mrs. Blackburn will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday and from 9 a.m. until the funeral hour Sunday at the funeral home.
