Don Turpin, 76, of Princeton, died Friday, Jan. 25, 2013, at 11:38 a.m. at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah, following a short illness.
Born Oct. 31, 1936, in Caldwell County, a son of the late Edward Byron and Beatrice Fraley Turpin, he was a member of the Elks, V.F.W., American Legion, Eagles, Masonic Lodge and Shriners.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Ralph Turpin and Gerald Turpin; and three sisters, Doris Hammond, Jean Dyer and Missi Turpin.
Survivors include a sister and brother-in-law, Teresa and Ricky Barnett of Fredonia; a sister-in-law and husband, Caroline Turpin and Ralph Tubbs of Mt. Juliet, Tenn.; a brother-in-law, Bobby Dyer of Princeton; four nephews, Jimmy Dyer, Anthony Dyer, Ricky Dean Barnett and Steven Barnett; four nieces, Debbie Newcomb, Pam Bates, Lori Whited and Lacey Rankin; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, Jan. 28, at 1 p.m. at Morgan’s Funeral Home in Princeton with Bro. Anthony Dyer officiating.
Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery. (Princeton, Ky.)
